a clearer picture

Remember that last somewhat ambiguous photo from the previous post? Well a couple years ago right after I took that one a took another one - this time more clearly.

So now you may be able to more discernibly what lies ahead for me. Do you recognize the buildings? The architecture style? Maybe if I turned around to the right and you could see Ognissanti? Or perhaps a bit to the left when San Frediano would come into view? Or if I walked a bit along the Arno River until I came across the Uffizi and Florence in all her beauty?

Yes, I'm headed back to Italy! Tickets were bought yesterday so it now feels more official. In several weeks this river will be my neighbor again for a little over a month as I'm lucky enough to be able to participate in a yoga teacher training certification course in Florence. For the past 10 years or so I've had the idea to pursue a certification (someday), but not until the past couple years when I've studied the ashtanga discipline, have I really felt more seriously about it.

So when I found out that there was, not only a wonderful ashtanga studio in Florence, but one that also offered the Yoga Alliance certified training courses, I was immediately interested. And as soon as the fall course was announced, I decided to jump right in. What better place to be while I have to be away from home, than a place I consider my other home?

In the meantime, it's a few more work trips and lots of getting-things-done before heading out. This is just one piece of the things I want to share - but the others will wait for a little later...

no problem!

I am teaching when I can these days, mostly just subbing and guest teaching for college activity programs, but I am glad to do it! Working at The Times keeps me incredibly busy :-( So my own fitness comes first until I have time to teach more. nuff on me..

you better post some food pics for us! And I think the whole eat:exercise:eat:exercise plan is pretty ingenious...hmmmm
